Martyr Evdokia Grigoryevna Safronova was born on March 1, 1878, in the village of Luchinskoye, Zvenigorod district of Moscow province. She completed 2 classes of the parish school. Since 1890, she worked as a maid in Moscow. In 1897, she got married and moved to the village of Bykovo. In 1930, she was elected the starosta and treasurer of the Church of the Nativity of Christ. In the same year, she was deprived of voting rights as an 'active church member.' On June 2, 1931, she was restored to her rights. On November 1, 1937, she was arrested in the case of 'Bykov parish clergy' along with the holy martyrs. During the investigation, she was held in Taganka prison in Moscow. On the first day after her arrest, she signed a protocol in which she admitted to being a member of the 'clergy group.' The next day, she categorically denied the charges against her. On November 15, 1937, she was sentenced to 8 years in a labor camp. She was sent to the Taiga camp. She died from severe hardships on August 25, 1938. The burial place is unknown. She was glorified by the Archdiocesan Jubilee Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000 together with the holy martyrs of the village of Bykovo on the common day of remembrance.
