Ηegumen / Abbot
He was born in Irkutsk in 1880. From 1897, he served in the Belogorsk Male Monastery of the Perm Diocese. On June 22, 1905, he was ordained as a hierodeacon and soon became a hieromonk. In 1909, he was appointed as the dean, and in 1911, he became the treasurer, later serving as acting abbot during the absence of the abbot. On June 29, 1917, he was elevated to the rank of igumen. Under his care, the construction of the cathedral in honor of the Elevation of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord was completed. His sermons were regularly published in the Perm 'Diocesan Gazette.' After the martyrdom of Saint Varlaam, he was appointed as the abbot of the monastery. In 1919, he left with part of the brotherhood alongside the retreating forces of Admiral A.V. Kolchak. After the Red Army entered Irkutsk, he was arrested and executed. On July 2, 1998, he was canonized among the locally venerated saints of the Perm Diocese, and the church-wide commemoration was established at the Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
