Priest
Hieromartyr Vladimir was born in 1869 in the town of Shuya, in the province of Vladimir. He grew into the family of the chanter Fyodor Vvedensky. In 1889 he graduated from a theological school and married Sophia. They had four children. On March 10, 1891, Vladimir Fyodorovich was ordained priest of the Nativity Church in the village of Lezhnevo, where he served his whole life, becoming rector in 1920. In 1922 he was arrested and accused of resisting the confiscation of the church valuables. However, he was soon released.
At the beginning of 1930 the authorities decided to close the Nativity Church. On February 4, 1930, Father Vladimir was arrested and accused of anti-Soviet propaganda. On February 6 he was transferred to prison, where the clergy of the church and members of the parish council were also kept in arrest. On February 15 the NKVD troika sentenced him to three years of imprisonment in a concentration camp. On March 30 the priest arrived at the Solovki prison camp, where he worked in different occupations, as in the laundry, etc. On April 3, 1931, he died. On April 5 he was buried in the cemetery near the Resurrection Church on Anzerskiy Island.
