Saint Tatiana was born in 1879 in the village of Shchukino, Moscow district, in a peasant family of Ivan Gribkov. In 1896, she entered the Kazan Golovinsky Convent, founded in 1876. In 1925, the convent was liquidated by the Soviet authorities, and Tatiana returned to her native village.
During the persecutions of the Russian Orthodox Church, in 1937, she was falsely accused by witnesses. On August 9, 1937, following Stalin's decree for mass arrests, Tatiana was arrested and imprisoned in Novinsky prison in Moscow. On September 10, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced her to death by shooting.
Saint Tatiana (Gribkova) was condemned to death on September 14, 1937, at the Butovo firing range near Moscow, and she was buried in an unknown common grave.
