She was born on December 28, 1887, in the town of Lalsk, Vologda province, into a pious family of the clerk Alexei Kuznetsov and his wife Anna. From childhood, she loved prayer and spiritual books. Her parents, seeing her desire for a spiritual life, did not hinder her and allowed her to live in prayer and service. In 1932, her parents were arrested and soon passed away. She took upon herself the care of the poor and wayfarers, providing them with shelter and sustenance.
After the closure of the Koryazhem Monastery, the brethren moved to Lalsk, where a monastery was formed. The abbot became Igumen Pavel, who was a well-known ascetic. Blessed Nina strictly observed the monastic rule, slept only four hours a day, and ate only soaked bread. She attended all the services and knew them by heart.
In early 1937, Nina was arrested but did not confess to any wrongdoing. She was sentenced to eight years in a correctional labor camp and passed away on May 14, 1938, in a camp in the Arkhangelsk region.
