The holy martyr Quintus came from Phrygia, where he was instructed in the Christian faith from his youth. In Neapolis, he healed the possessed and performed acts of charity. The governor Ruf, forcing him to offer a sacrifice to idols, fell into madness but was healed by Saint Quintus. After his healing, Ruf released him and rewarded him. After this, the saint went to Pergamum, but he was captured by pagans and martyred for his faith. During his torture, an earthquake occurred, destroying the idol temple, which saved him from further torment. Remaining in chains, he awaited a new governor, Clearchus, who ordered his shins to be broken. However, the saint was healed and lived for another 10 years, serving others and performing miracles. He reposed in the year 283.
