Venerable Cherimon (Chaeremon) of Egypt
Venerable
Venerable Chaeremon was a hermit in Egypt. He lived in skete in the desert at the end of the 4th or the beginning of the 5th century. The place where he resided was very far from the nearest church, as well as from the closest water source.
After his repose, he was found in his seat, praying and holding his handiwork.
Among others, the saint is mentioned by Theodore the Studite in the Triodion of the Great Lent, on Cheesefare Saturday.
His memory is celebrated on August 16.
