The Holy Martyrs Frontasios, Severinos, Severianos, and Silouanos were entrusted with the mission of preaching the word of God. The governor of that time interrogated them and demanded that they offer sacrifices to the gods of the pagans. The saints affirmed their faith in Christ, rejected the idols, and declared that they were ready even to die for Christ.
After severe tortures, the governor ordered their beheading. However, through divine intervention, their bodies were raised and made their way toward the River Il. Walking upon the water, they reached the church of the Most Holy Theotokos. There they surrendered their spirits and got buried with honor.
The saints lived and were martyred during the reign of the Roman emperor Claudius, glorifying the Lord through their deeds and the confession of their faith.
