Saint Theodore was born on June 7, 1885, in the village of Kozlakovo, Vladimir Province. He graduated from the Vladimir Theological Seminary. In 1906, he got married and served in the church of the village of Vypuklovo, and later in the Sretensky Church in the village of Konstantinovo. During the persecutions, in 1931, the church was closed, and the priest served in the homes of parishioners. In December 1932, he was arrested on charges of forming an anti-Soviet group. On January 21, 1933, he was sentenced to five years of imprisonment in a labor camp. After returning, he served in the church of St. Sergius of Radonezh in the village of Zyatkovo. In the autumn of 1937, he was arrested again and imprisoned in Taganka prison. On December 5, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced him to execution. Priest Theodore was shot on December 10, 1937, and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
