Saint Alexius Budrin was born on February 6, 1861, into the family of Priest Ioann Budrin. He received his education at the Perm Theological Seminary. In 1881, he married a maiden named Kapitolina Vsevolodovna and was ordained as a deacon, and in 1883 - as a priest. He served in the Holy Trinity Church of the village of Syrynsky, Krasnoufimsk district, where he taught the Law of God. In 1887, he was transferred to Krasnoufimsk, where he served in the Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius and taught at the real school. In 1890, he was transferred to the Holy Trinity Cathedral in Perm, where he continued his active teaching work. In 1904, he became the sacristan of the Transfiguration Cathedral and was confirmed in the position of a regular member of the Perm Theological Consistory. In 1912, he was elected as a member of the State Duma of the IV convocation. In 1918, he was arrested and shot by Red Army soldiers. His body was desecrated, and on September 17, he was honorably buried in the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Krasnoufimsk. In 2002, his holy relics were discovered, which were exhibited for veneration in 2003. By the prayers of the faithful, miracles of healing occur through him.
