Reviews - Pilgrimage

All was very good, organization and Roman’ guiding. We are very happy with experience. Thank you very much.

Roman was knowledgeable, friendly and the best guide we could have asked for.

We had an amazing spiritual journey at Mount Athos and it wouldn't have been possible without Athos Guide.

Everything was great. We both really enjoyed our trip to Mt Athos!

Roman was a great guide.

I spent 4 days/3 nights on Mount Athos with Roman as my tour guide. It was a life changing experience. I've been considering the Orthodox church and wanted an insight into its rich history/tradition.

Roman was fantastic - extemely helpful, patient and a good man.

Highly recommended.

This year we the opportunity to return to Mount Athos to take once again a one-day trip to Mount Athos and can confidently say it was one of the most unique and enriching travel experiences we’ve had. We were accompanied by Father Mihail who is extremly knowledgeable about the customs, monasteries and the sacred places and he shared a lot of information during the trip. The tour is very well organised with transfer and transportation on the Holy Mountain and we received excellent support and guidance from the travel agency.

We highly recommend this one-day private tour, it's a perfect way to experience the mystique of Mount Athos and feel a deep sense of spiritual renewal, peace, and reflection."

A life changing experience.
A very special place that every man should visit at least once in his life. Truly unique.
A tour with an experienced guide is the only way to really get the most out of your trip to Mount Athos.
I highly recommend this company as they are helpful, knowledgeable and will carefully  guided you through the whole process. Elena was patient and answered all my questions in the planning stage. Roman, my English speaking guide was great. We visited many monasteries an cells on Mount Athos over the three days. Some of the most spectacular buildings, I have ever seen full of stunning icons. Staying in a monastery and sharing the life of the monks was also a highlight.

Cant wait to visit again.

A great experience! Seeing the holy relics and miracle icons was fantastic. Roman, our guide, was great as well. I would recommend for any orthodox Christian, so much history about the religion is housed here. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to go!

Walking along the ancient paths of monks and saints, amidst the thousand-year-old monasteries of the Holy Mountain Athos, is a profoundly spiritual experience for every Christian. Experiencing the warm hospitality of Orthodox monks who, in the silence of their cells, with the Jesus Prayer on their lips and a deep devotion to God, venerate the icons of saints and sing the powerful psalms, touches the soul of every pilgrim. The journey to the majestic summit is challenging, but the breathtaking view of the peninsula’s spiritual aura rewards the pilgrim with boundless peace. I am deeply grateful to the agency Guide Athos and our guide, Roman, who ensured everything ran smoothly and free of worldly concerns, making our pilgrimage a truly transformative spiritual journey.

Visiting Mount Athos, one of the most magical and spiritual places on Earth, was a true delight and a once in a lifetime experience.

Thanks to Athos Guide expertise and to my guide Roman’s insights and knowledge my pilgrimage to the Holy Mountain was particularly inspiring. I highly recommend it.

I have had a one day tour, which gave me a fantastic possibility to visit several holy sites and monasteries within one day, what normally takes a way longer time.

One day tour is highly recommended for those who can not organize the visit themselves, because of high number of visiting pilgrims in certain periods or other reasons.

Thank you also for interesting and deep guidance in history and practical advices.

Athos Guide is indispensable for any pilgrimage or visit to Athos. Elena has been incredibly helpful - her prompt response to our requests and detailed organisation made my trip smooth and easy. Without her hard work my trip would not have been possible. Roman has been the perfect guide and driver - his deep knowledge of the holy mountain and passion for Orthodoxy will enhance any pilgrim or traveller’s experience. Above all, it is his compassion and care that made my trip worthwhile. If you are looking for reliable and personal service for your once in a lifetime voyage to Athos, I would highly recommend Athos Guide.

We only have words of thanks and appreciation for the team behind Athos Guide. They have curated an amazing tour and trip for us, in which we saw a number of different monasteries and sites including Panteleimon, Vatoped, Hilandar and Karyes. On the ground we had Roman as our guide, who is extremely knowledgeable and shared many interesting insights into the history of each site, holy relics and important individuals who contributed to the location. We are extremely grateful at their fantastic organisation and support at relatively short notice, and would highly recommend the team to other pilgrims interested in Mount Athos.

Thank you for arranging my visit to Mount Athos.  I had a wonderful time.

Roman was an excellent guide for me.  He took good care of me and taught me a lot.  Roman was an excellent driver, even on bad roads in rainy and muddy conditions.

Mount Athos is a beautiful and interesting place.  Roman was good company and he showed me many fascinating things and explained what I was seeing.

Thank you for arranging this very enjoyable tour for me.

Most sincerely,

Stewart
