The Holy Martyrs Zinon and Zenas
Martyrs
Saint Zenon was from Philadelphia of Arabia.
He distributed all his possessions to the poor and freed his slaves. During the reign of Emperor Maximian, when he saw people fervently worshipping idols, he rebuked the emperor and, as a result, endured severe torture.
His servant, Saint Zenas, wishing to support his master, was also arrested and suffered every hardship alongside him.
Neither of the two martyrs ever renounced their faith in Christ. They were thrown into the fire but remained unharmed. In the end, they were beheaded.
Their martyrdom is commemorated on June 22.
