Presbyter
Saint Vladimir (Vladimir Pavlovich Kholodokovsky) was born in November 1895 in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky. He received his education at the Yekaterinburg Pilgrimage School, which he graduated from in 1912. From 1912 to 1918, he served as a psalmist in the Ascension Church of the village of Zavyalovskoye. In 1918, he was ordained as a deacon at the church of the village of Timokhinskoye. During the years of the Civil War, remaining faithful to the Church, he tried to resolve the internal conflicts in his parish, but unsuccessfully. After evacuating to Novosibirsk, he returned to his place of service in 1920. In 1920, he was ordained as a priest and assigned to the Nikolaev Church of the village of Tupitsinskoye. In 1927, after the church transitioned to the Renovationists, he refused to join the Renovationists and returned to Tupitsinskoye, where the parishioners protected him from the Renovationists.
In 1929, he was arrested for preaching against the Soviet government and sentenced to 5 years in concentration camps. After his release in 1935, he resumed serving in the Nikolaev Church. In 1936, when the authorities attempted to close the church, he convened a meeting of believers to defend the church. In 1937, he was arrested again, accused of anti-Soviet activities, and shot on August 13, 1937. Father Vladimir remained faithful to his faith until the end, not recognizing any of the collaborators and not betraying anyone, even under the pressure of torture.
