Victor, Zotik, Zinon, Akindin and Severian of Nicomedia
Martyrs
During the persecutions of Christians orchestrated by the wicked Emperor Diocletian, Saint George was captured and subjected to cruel tortures. By the power of God, he performed miracles, which led many pagans to believe in Christ. Those who believed were subjected to various tortures: some were imprisoned, others burned, and others beheaded. Among them were the holy martyrs Victor, Zoticus, Zenon, Akindinus, and Severian, who, upon seeing Saint George tied to the wheel, believed in our Lord Jesus Christ and for this were immediately beheaded.
