Viktor Stepanovich Klimov was born on April 17, 1889, in the village of Semiyarskoye, Semipalatinsk region. He came from a well-off family of a station master. After graduating from the Tomsk Theological Seminary in 1909, he worked as a teacher of literature. In 1913, he was ordained as a priest. He served in the Resurrection Church of Semipalatinsk and was part of the clergy of the Alexander Nevsky Church.
In 1922, he participated in organizing meetings of the clergy and laity to oppose Renovationism. In 1937, he was arrested and accused of counter-revolutionary activities. He did not confess to the charges and was executed on November 19, 1937, along with other holy martyrs. He was included in the Assembly of New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia on December 27, 2000.
