Saint Victor Ivanovich Usov, who was born in 1887 into the family of a deacon, was given the path of serving God. After graduating from the Nikolsk Spiritual School and the Vologda Spiritual Seminary, he became a teacher at a parish school. On May 21, 1910, he was ordained to the priesthood at the Trinity Church of the village of Vokhma, and later transferred to the Epiphany Church of the village of Staraia Yakhrenka. From 1910 to 1913, he fulfilled the duties of a legal advisor in the zemstvo school.
On September 24, 1918, for reading the message of Patriarch Tikhon, the holy martyr Nikolai (Podyakov) was shot. After his murder, Father Victor had to perform the burial rite. After the completion of the funeral service, he was killed by one of the executioners. Saint Victor was glorified by the Archpastoral Jubilee Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2000.
