Deacon
Deacon Vasily Ivanovich Sitnikov was a deacon of the Dalmatov Nicholas Church in the Perm Province. He graduated from three classes of the theological school and served as a psalmist since 1885; in 1898 he was ordained as a deacon. He served in the John the Baptist Church in the village of Iz'edyuginskoye, and then in the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in the village of Baklanskoye. On November 5, 1913, he was transferred to the Nicholas Church of the city of Dalmatov, where he accepted a martyr's end at the hands of godless men. In 1918, after the arrest of his fellow clergymen, he began to reproach the godless for the plundering of the property of the arrested. For this, he was killed on June 28, 1918, the day after the martyr's end of the priests who served with him.
