Martyr Timothy was born in 1871 in the village of Stepanovo, Ryazan province. In 1893, he was drafted into military service, and after completing it, he served in the police. For his successful service, he was awarded silver medals. In 1930, he was elected chairman of the church council of the Church of St. Nicholas in Khamovniki. Over time, he became steadfast in his desire to serve the Church of Christ, despite persecutions. On October 31, 1937, he was arrested and interrogated. He was accused of anti-Soviet activities but denied his guilt. On November 29, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced him to execution. The martyr was shot on December 2, 1937, at the Butovo firing range and buried in an unknown common grave.
