Saint Timothy was from Gaza. He deeply believed in Christ and was always teaching the word of the Gospel. When he got arrested, he confessed his faith, proclaiming the love of the true God. He was therefore subjected to tortures until he was thrown into the fire.

Together with him, Saints Agapius and Thecla endured many sufferings while confessing their faith. In the end, they were handed over to the wild beasts.

Their memory is celebrated on August 19.
