Apostles Tertius, Mark, Justus, and Artemas of the Seventy
Apostles
Saint Tertius wrote the epistle of Apostle Paul to the Romans, where he mentions himself: "greet you in the Lord, I Tertius, who wrote this letter" (Rom. 16:22). He was a bishop in Iconium and suffered a martyr's death.
Saint Mark, the nephew of Apostle Barnabas, was a bishop in Apollonia. Apostle Paul remembers him in the epistle to the Colossians: "greet you Aristarchus, my fellow prisoner, and Mark, the nephew of Barnabas, (about whom you received instructions: if he comes to you, welcome him)" (Col. 4:10).
Saint Justus was a bishop in Eleutheropolis, and Saint Artemas was in Lystra. Apostle Paul mentions Artemas in the epistle to Titus: "When I send Artemas to you, or Tychicus, be diligent to come to me" (Titus 3:12).
