Confessors Tatiana Byakireva and Fekla Makusheva
Confessor
Fecla Makusheva was born in 1901, Tatyana Byakireva in 1890. On November 6, 1937, they were arrested and imprisoned in the city of Kasimov, and later taken to Ryazan for the pronouncement and execution of the sentence. The confessors were involved in the group case 'Case of the counter-revolutionary insurgent organization of clergymen.' On December 6, 1937, by the troika of the NKVD of the USSR in the Ryazan region, they were accused of active participation in the counter-revolutionary insurgent-terrorist organization, as well as in defeatist agitation and expressing terrorist sentiments. Fecla and Tatyana were sentenced to 10 years in forced labor camps, while the other 23 individuals involved in this case were shot.
