Martyr Strator (Stratonikos) of Nicomedia
Martyr
The holy martyrs suffered for the Christian faith in the 3rd century. Saint Seleucus was from Galatia, Stratonicus from Nicomedia in Bithynia, Cronid, Leontius, and Serapion from Egypt. For confessing their faith in Christ, after severe tortures, the holy martyrs were brutally killed. Saint Cronid, Leontius, and Serapion had their hands and feet bound and were thrown into the sea. Their bodies were washed ashore by the waves, where Christians buried them.
Saint Seleucus suffered in Galatia, where, after many tortures, he was thrown to the beasts along with his wife.
Saint Stratonicus, by order of the Bithynian governor, was tied to two bent tree trunks after torture. His body was torn in two.
