Bishop
Bishop
The holy martyr Sisinius came from the city of Cizicus. He suffered martyrdom during the reign of Diocletian at the hands of the city's governor, Alexander. For confessing Christ, he was tied to wild horses, beaten mercilessly, and strong vinegar was poured into his nostrils. He endured many other tortures and performed great miracles among the assembly. After this, he was beheaded with a sword.
