Deacon
Saint Simeon (Semen Fedorovich Kulyamin) was born on September 1, 1874, in the village of Rotmirovo, Vladimir district of Vladimir province. In 1921, he became a psalmist at the Trinity Church in the settlement of Udelnoe, and in 1925, he was ordained as a deacon. On November 20, 1937, Metropolitan Seraphim was arrested, and on December 11, he was executed. On January 26, 1938, Deacon Simeon was arrested and imprisoned in Taganka prison in Moscow. On February 7, 1938, the investigation against the priest and deacon was completed, and on February 16, they were sentenced to execution. Priest Alexey Nikitsky and Deacon Simeon Kulyamin were executed on February 28, 1938, and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
