Saint Serapion lived during the reign of King Severus. He was a devout and virtuous man.
He was arrested by Aquila and questioned about his faith. He confessed that he was a Christian and believed in the one true God. As a result, he endured numerous tortures and was ultimately thrown into the fire, completing his life as a martyr.
Saint Serapion was blessed with the grace and protection of God. His wounds were miraculously healed many times during his imprisonment, while his good spirit and patience made him a model for many people.
He fell asleep in the Lord in 205 AD.
