Saint Prochorus of Pshina asceticized in the Vran wilderness on the Pshina River and founded a monastery there. He is known as one of the strictest ascetics of monastic life. He reposed at the end of the 10th century. Miracles were performed from his relics. According to the Serbian chronicle, the pious King Milutin (1276–1320) built a church in honor of Saint Prochorus.
