Saint Peter was born on December 25, 1876, in the village of Voskresensk in the Bronnitsky district of Moscow province, into the family of priest Izmail Orlenkov. In 1890, he graduated from the Don Spiritual School, and in 1896 – from the Moscow Spiritual Seminary, and was ordained a priest. He served in the churches of the Moscow diocese. In 1930, he was appointed to serve in the Voskresensky Church in the village of Kondrevo in the Kolomna district. In July 1937, the church was closed under the pretext of the poor condition of the building.
On October 28, 1937, Father Peter was arrested on charges of counter-revolutionary activity and imprisoned in a prison in the city of Kolomna. False witnesses were summoned. On November 15, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced the priest to death by shooting. Priest Peter Orlenkov was shot on November 16, 1937, and buried in an unknown common grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
