Martyr Peter was born in 1904 in the village of Andreevskie Paliki, Zhizdrinsky district, Kaluga province. He graduated from a rural school and married Anastasia, a religious maiden. He served in the troops of the OGPU, after which he settled with his wife in Kuntsevo. Anastasia, after his departure to the army, deepened her faith, which influenced Peter, who began to visit the church and read spiritual books. Their life became monastic, and they had no children, but only served God and people. On October 20, 1937, they were arrested on charges of religious activity. Witnesses confirmed their affiliation with the Orthodox faith and frequent visits to the church. Peter Ivanovich was imprisoned in Taganka prison, where he denied belonging to sects. On November 19, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced them to eight years of imprisonment in a corrective labor camp. Peter Ivanovich passed away on November 14, 1941, in the corrective labor camp of Norilsk and was buried in an unmarked grave.
