Bishop
Saint Paul was the bishop of the city of Plousiada in Bithynia during the time of the iconoclastic heresy. He zealously defended the holy icons and the Christian faith, opposing adversaries with the words of Divine Scripture. For his convictions, he endured persecution and exile. Blessed Paul passed away around the year 850, leaving behind an example of steadfastness and fidelity to Christ.
