Apostles Olympus, Rodion Sosipater, Erastus, Quartus
Apostles
The Holy Apostles Olympas and Rodion, who followed the Apostle Peter to Rome, were beheaded on the day of the crucifixion of Saint Apostle Peter in the year 67. The Apostle Sosipater, originally from Achaia, was the bishop of the Church of Iconium and died in peace. The Apostle Erastus, mentioned by the Apostle Paul, was a deacon and treasurer of the Jerusalem church, and later became a bishop in Paneas. The Apostle Quartus, also mentioned in the Epistle to the Romans, suffered greatly for his faith and peacefully passed away in the rank of bishop of the city of Verita. All the holy Apostles now stand before the throne of God, receiving their reward for their labors.
