Olga Kosheleva
Martyr
Martyr Olga (Olga Semyonovna Kosheleva) was born on July 2, 1874, in the village of Nizhny Beloomut, Zaraysk district of Ryazan province. She was married to a worker at a leather factory, Andrey Koshelev, and lived in Moscow, not far from the Church of the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos in Gonchary. In 1938, after the Stalinist repressions, she was arrested on October 27 and imprisoned in Taganka prison. She was accused of counter-revolutionary activities but denied all charges, affirming that the Soviet authority unjustly arrests clergy and believers. Olga Semyonovna passed away on March 6, 1939, in Taganka prison and was buried in an unmarked grave.
