Martyrs Nunekhia, Basilissa, and Theodora

Saint Martyr Leonidas and Saints Charissa, Nike, Galina, Calisa (Calida), Nunechia, Basilissa, and Theodora became martyrs for their faith in Christ in Corinth in 258. They were thrown into the sea, yet they did not drown. They walked upon the water and floated upon its surface, glorifying the Lord. Their persecutors pursued them until they were captured and drowned, with heavy stones tied around their necks.

Later, their bodies were found on the shore and buried by devout Christians.

Their feast days are on 23 March (10 March according to the Old Calendar) and 29 April (16 April according to the Old Calendar).
