He was born on February 26, 1867, in the village of Prisyady, Tula District, Tula Province, in the family of psalmist Ioann Rozhdestvensky. In 1888, he graduated from the Tula Theological Seminary and was appointed a teacher in the Cherdyn District of the Perm Province. On March 18, 1890, he was ordained as a priest at the Christ-Birth Church in the village of Yum, Cherdyn District, and appointed as the law teacher of the Yum School and local church schools. In 1896, he was transferred to the Alexeyevskaya Church in the village of Yegva, Solikamsk District, and became the head of the local church schools. From 1899 to 1901, he was elected as a spiritual father for the 3rd Solikamsk Deanery. In 1908, he served in the Holy Trinity Cathedral in the city of Solikamsk. In 1909-1910, he was the spiritual father of the northern half of the 1st Okhansk Deanery. In 1910, he was transferred to the Trinity Church in the village of Chernovskoye, Okhansk District, appointed as the law teacher of the Lipovsk and Sukhumski Zemsky Schools, and the head of the Ploskin Church-Parish School and the law teacher of the Chernovskoye two-class school. Later, he was transferred to the Sretenskaya Church in the village of Ocherko-Ostrozhskoye of the same district. He was shot by godless Bolsheviks in the winter of 1918.
