Priest Nikolai Rodimov was born in 1856 in the Arkhangelsk province in the family of a priest. After graduating from the Arkhangelsk Theological Seminary, he was ordained as a priest in 1880 and served in the Puy parish, where he worked for 9 years, engaging in the beautification of the church and opening a parish school.
The archbishop noticed his diligence, and he was transferred to the city of Shenkursk, where he taught in several educational institutions. Later, he was appointed to Arkhangelsk, where he became a legal teacher and director of the parish school. Father Nikolai was active in visiting hospitals and orphanages, as well as teaching soldiers.
After the October Revolution, he condemned the overthrow of the tsar and expressed the belief that the Soviet power was temporary. In 1920, he was arrested but released. In 1930, the Trinity-Kuznechevskaya church was closed, and he watched as icons were taken away to be burned. In 1937, at the age of 81, Priest Nikolai was arrested again. During the interrogation, he remained silent, refusing to acknowledge his guilt. On January 10, 1938, he was executed.
