Protodeacon
He was born on March 8, 1879, in the village of Nikolskoye, Moscow province, in the family of deacon Ioann Tsvetkov. From childhood, he aspired to serve the Church, keeping a diary in which he recorded his thoughts and observations about church services. He graduated from a theological school and the Vifanskaya Theological Seminary, after which he was ordained as a deacon.
While serving in the Volokolamsk Cathedral, he took in his elderly parents, despite his father's struggle with alcoholism, which brought much sorrow. After his father's death in 1908, he changed his way of life, began to lead a life of fasting and prayer, helping the poor and suffering by giving away all he had.
For his impeccable service, he was elevated to the rank of protodeacon. His reputation for prayers and assistance to people spread, and many came to him for support. He performed numerous miracles, healed the sick, and foretold events. However, with the arrival of the godless authorities in 1918, he was arrested and subjected to humiliation, but he endured all trials with patience.
In 1923, he was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment, where he continued to pray and support the faithful. After his release in 1929, he resumed serving, but was soon arrested again in 1931, accused of anti-Soviet agitation and sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
In the camp, he continued to endure hardships but remained faithful to God, supporting other prisoners. He died in captivity, leaving behind a memory of a holy life and service to God.
