Venerable Nektarios of the Caves
Venerable
Saint Nectarius labored in the Kyiv Caves Lavra during the twelfth century. Because of his unwavering obedience to the elders of the brethren and the zeal he consistently displayed in his monastic life, he became known as "the Obedient".
After many years of ascetic struggle and spiritual labor, he reposed in peace and was buried in the Near Caves of the Lavra.
