Three maidens - Minodora, Mitrodora, and Nymphodora - dedicated themselves to the Holy Trinity, choosing a life of purity and solitude. They were born in Bithynia and, leaving the world behind, settled on a high hill, where they spent their time in fasting and prayers, striving towards God. Their life was full of virtues, and they were not afraid of suffering for their faith.
When the wicked prince Fronton learned about the holy maidens, he ordered them to be seized and brought to him. At the trial, they boldly confessed their faith in Christ, rejecting the offers to worship idols. Minodora, the eldest of the sisters, declared that they would not renounce Christ, even if threatened with torture.
Minodora was subjected to cruel tortures, but she endured the suffering steadfastly, praying to the Lord. She accepted a martyr's death, after which the torturer summoned Mitrodora and Nymphodora, hoping that they would be frightened by their sister's fate. However, seeing her body, they only strengthened their resolve to die for Christ.
Mitrodora also accepted a martyr's death, and Nymphodora, having undergone tortures, did not renounce her faith and was also killed. After their death, the torturer ordered their bodies to be burned, but God's power stopped the fire, and the bodies of the saints remained incorrupt.
The faithful buried the martyrs with honor near warm waters, where a temple was erected in their honor. From the relics of the saints, healings occurred, and their memory is honored in the Church. Glory to the Holy Trinity for their martyrdom and faithfulness until the end.
