Martin Turovsky
Venerable
In the Kingdom of Christ, there is neither slave nor free; every occupation is equally valuable. Humility is the foundation of Christianity. In the city of Turau, in the monastery of St. Princes Boris and Gleb, there lived a cook named Martin, who, upon accepting monasticism, remained in the monastery. He suffered from illness and, calling upon the holy martyrs Boris and Gleb, received help from them: they appeared to him and gave him water to drink. After this, he was healed and praised God and the holy martyrs, living for another year.
