The Holy Apostle from the Seventy Mark, also called John, is mentioned in the book of Acts by the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Luke, as well as by the Holy Apostle Paul in his Epistles to the Colossians and Philemon. He preached the Word of God together with the Apostles Paul and Barnabas and was appointed by them as bishop in the Phoenician city of Byblos. The Holy Apostle Mark attained great boldness before God, so that even his shadow healed the sick.
