Saint Maria was born in 1872 in the village of Dubenka, Kozelsky district, Kaluga province. In 1893, she entered as a novice in the Passion Monastery in Moscow, where she labored until its closure. After the monastery was closed, she lived in a basement apartment on Tikhvinskaya Street, working as a nurse. On October 25, 1937, she was arrested and imprisoned in Butyrka prison. During the interrogation, she replied that she did not engage in conversations on political topics. On November 19, 1937, the NKVD troika sentenced her to ten years of imprisonment in a labor camp. On December 27, 1937, she arrived at the Mariinsky distribution center of the Siblag. Saint Maria Nosova passed away on May 10, 1938, in the Mariinsky camp and was buried in an unmarked grave.
