Martyr Marinus the Soldier at Caesarea in Palestine
Martyr
The Holy Martyr Christ's Marin, being a Christian, saw how the pagans were offering sacrifices to their idols, and, inflamed with Divine zeal, he destroyed the altars and trampled the sacrifices. He reproached the priests and confessed his faith in Christ, the Son of God.
The pagans seized him, beat him with sticks and stones, knocked out his teeth, and dragged him on the ground. After many tortures, the saint was brought before the governor, who, by order, beheaded him with a sword.
