Margarita Ksenofontovna Zakachurina was born in the village of Pakhota, Lezhnevsky district of Ivanovo region in 1884. From 1902 to 1926, she served in a monastery, and after its closure, she was forced to work in a secular labor organization. On March 22, 1937, she was arrested and accused of 'counter-revolutionary activities.' Along with her, Mother Fevronia, Tamara, and the wife of the priest Maria Ivanovna were arrested. All of them were involved in the same group case and were sentenced to 5 and 3 years of exile. In exile, they settled in the village of Maiskoye, engaging in prayer. On December 3, 1937, they were arrested again, and on December 4, the investigation was completed with the verdict: THE HIGHEST MEASURE OF PUNISHMENT – EXECUTION.
