Martyr Manetha of Cæsarea in Palestine
Martyr
The holy martyr, originally from Scythian land, was captured in Caesarea of Palestine along with the holy martyrs Antoninus, Nikifor, and German. She was led naked through the city for humiliation and then subjected to various tortures, from which she emerged unharmed by the grace of God. She performed countless miracles, turned many away from idolatrous wickedness, taught the true faith, and brought many to Christ. For this, she was condemned to be burned alive. When the furnace was lit, she entered it herself, where she surrendered her soul into the hands of the Lord. To Him be honor and glory forever. Amen.
