Martyr Lyudmila Vladimirovna Petrova was born on February 26, 1879, in Rostov. Her entire life was dedicated to serving as a teacher of handicrafts. On November 15, 1930, she was arrested and accused of involvement in church-monarchist activities. After 3 years of exile in the 'Sevkray', she returned to Rostov.
In 1936, Lyudmila Vladimirovna was arrested again, accused of supporting Metropolitan Joseph. The Special Meeting of the NKVD sentenced her to 3 years of exile in Kazakhstan, where she was held in a corrective labor camp of the NKVD.
While in Merkent, Lyudmila Vladimirovna was arrested in a group case involving 'Archbishop Alexius'. On August 28, 1937, a troika of the U.NKVD sentenced her to the highest measure of punishment. On September 27, 1937, she was executed in the Lisya Balka near Chimkent.
