Venerable Limnaios began his ascetic life under the guidance of Saint Thalassios. Thus he acquired the same virtues as his teacher. He came to know simplicity, gentleness, and humility. Later, he withdrew to the summit of a mountain, where he lived near Saint Maron. There, he built for himself a small stone hut, in which he lived in seclusion, occasionally speaking with those who passed through the area.
His heart was filled with compassion for others. With the help of the faithful, he succeeded in establishing a guesthouse on the slopes of the mountain, as well as shelters for the poor and those in need, whom he deeply cared for.
In this way, he sacrificed his silence and isolation, dedicating himself to the spiritual strengthening of the weak, encouraging them to pray and glorify the Lord. Because of his virtuous and devout life, he was granted the gift of working miracles.
