Presbyter
Father Konstantin Yurganov and Father Ananias Aristov, natives of the village of Serga in the Perm district, were ordained as priests in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. In the tumultuous years of the revolution, both priests were arrested on June 16, 1918, and spent 4.5 months in captivity. They were accused of counter-revolutionary activities and sentenced to execution, which was carried out on November 2 at the Perm Theological Seminary.
These Perm new martyrs were glorified in the ranks of saints by the Hierarchical Council of the Russian Orthodox Church on August 20, 2000. We pray and believe that the holy martyr Konstantin and the holy martyr Ananias dwell in the Heavenly abodes, interceding for their country and people before the Creator of all.
