Venerable Constantine of Synnada
Venerable
Saint Constantine was born in the city of Sinada and was of Jewish descent. In his childhood, having seen a Christian making the sign of the cross, he began to imitate him and soon felt the grace of God. Leaving his relatives, he came to a place called 'spiritual salvation,' where he met the abbot of the monks and was baptized, receiving the name Constantine. He dedicated himself to the spiritual life, took monastic vows, and became a clairvoyant, revealing the thoughts of the brethren. Constantine traveled to holy places, spent days in fasting and prayer, and then received the sacred order. Eight months before his death, he predicted his passing and peacefully departed to the Lord.
