Saint Constantine was born on November 23, 1879, in the village of Pesochnoe, Zhizdrinsky district, Kaluga province. After entering the Kaluga Theological Seminary, he married after graduation and had four children. In 1930, he moved to the Moscow region, where he served until his arrest in 1937. On November 6, 1937, he was arrested on charges of counter-revolutionary activity and was held in Kolomna prison. On November 17, the NKVD troika sentenced him to execution. The priest was shot on November 21, 1937, and buried in an unmarked grave at the Butovo firing range near Moscow.
