Presbyter
In 1896, in the family of the deacon of the Uspensky Church in Yekaterinburg, a son was born, who was named Konstantin at baptism. At the age of ten, he was sent to study at the Yekaterinburg Theological School, where, despite difficulties, he successfully continued his education. In 1911, he graduated from the school and was transferred to the Perm Theological Seminary, where in 1917 he received the title of student and was ordained to the rank of presbyter.
His ministry began in the village of Merkushevo, known as the place of the appearance of the incorrupt relics of the righteous Simeon of Verkhoturye. In 1918, amid the civil war, popular uprisings broke out in the area. Father Konstantin, supporting the people, became a victim of repression. After the uprising was suppressed, he and the church elder were shot on July 14, 1918.
According to the records, his death was recorded as 'shot'. The funeral was conducted by priest Alexey Khlunov and deacon Feodor Alekseev. In 1996, a dependency of the Novo-Tikhvin Convent was established in the village, and in 2002, the incorrupt remains of the holy martyr Konstantin were discovered. He was canonized on July 17, 2002.
