Saint martyr priest Konstantin Vasilyevich Aksyonov had to endure hardships and suffering for his faith. He was arrested in 1923 and sentenced to 3 years in concentration camps. In 1929, he was arrested for the second time and sentenced to 3 years of exile in the Northern region, where he served his exile in Shenkursk. After his release, he continued his ministry in Mirzoyan. In 1937, he was arrested on charges of 'systematic dissemination of counter-revolutionary agitation' and 'connections with the counter-revolutionary group of Metropolitan Joseph Petrovykh.' Not admitting his guilt, he was sentenced to execution. On October 22, 1937, he was executed in Mirzoyan. In 2000, at the Jubilee Archpastoral Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, he was glorified in the ranks of saints.
